You wait nearly 30 years for one and then three come along at once...

Oh, you beauty. I always loved Motorway off '80 particularly - any Emma Sharpe fans out there with more of her glorious stuff?

Listening to '80 now while waiting to grab '79 (I did manage to get '78 at the time, for The Dodgems, natch): the whole thing's staggeringly good. Many thanks.

Now I've listened to all three afresh, I'm even more stunned at how good the whole series is, probably the best tour there is through one of Britain's finest musical eras, unspoiled by the decaying London scene. This should have been reissued a ling time ago. And it's a blisteringly good rip. Recommended to any who haven't grabbed it yet.

Thanks again. 10/10. Easily the best post of the year, anywhere.

Can't help but agree with dave p .. the 30 year wait to hear Vaultage 78 again was worth every minute, and the LP itself worth every second - not a bad track on it, with the Devil's Dykes' Plastic Flowers (shades of Au Pairs), the Dodgems' Lord Lucan, and the Piranhas' I Don't Want My Body particularly recommended. But the jewel in the crown must be Peter and the Test Tube Babies' Elvis is Dead ... how can you resist lyrics like these:

In August 1977 Elvis met his fate
He could not get into heaven
He couldn't fit through the gate.

Heartfelt thanks; your work is much appreciated. Cheers, Dave Sez.
