Mutant electronic jazz craziness from one of the kingpins of of the leftfield Japanese weirdness scene of the 80's. The Sakata Sextet was this mad saxophonist's post-Wha Ha Ha ensemble, here joined by Kiyohiko Senba on drums. Snappy yet whacked horn charts miscegenate with rubbery sequences and assorted surrealist digressions in a way suggestive of everything from Hajime Tachibana to Six Cylindres En V to the Jules Baptiste 12" on Neutral.

Why is there only tracks 4&5? Did you forget to put the other ones?
ReplyDeleteWhy there are only tracks 4 & 5??
ReplyDeletefor anyone else that might run across these messages above, this is a two track ep. both tracks are present, though they've got 04 and 05 in front of the titles, as I took this from a CDR with something else on the beginning and forgot to retitle 'em.
