  4. well this thing about the nameof the group is a very common mistake...the group is called Bradford redlight district and the LP ,the new order....that's how it was "advertised " in the early 80s...concerning GPOs involvement,i just said these were rumours in industrial circles in the early 80s...it's not a fact...if someone knows more let me know

  5. genesis p. orridge's involvement and the cover notes supposedly written by him were obviously a little prank. genesis absolutely despised whitehouse/come org.

i've also heard that william bennett admitted that side one was NOT recorded in bradford.

  7. For those who might stumble upon this post over the next 10 days, I am listing this album on ebay beginning on March 19, 2008 at 8pm EST.

Visit my ebay store after that time to view the listing at http://store.ebay.com/lazares_bazaar although I've listed it as The New Order - Bradford Red Light District

  8. I have this LP, and its now on Ebay should anyone be interested.

Not quite sure that the earlier comment that "GPO despised WHiTEHOUSE " is completely true.

The sleeve notes list William Bennett, Peter McKay (then of WHiTEHOUSE), GPO and Steven Stapleton as the "members" of The New Order.

  9. Hiya, just stumbled across your blog... I am going through some old records and trying to find values of obscure titles..
I have a red vinyl, no sleeve, for this Bradford Red Light District. It has the spanish label.
Any idea of the value or indeed if anyone would buy it?
THanks for anyone's help! I have tons of weird stuff for sale...

  10. some later repressings had the spanish words... "CARA B.12 CANCIONES COMPUESTAS Y CANTA DAS CARA" I think it worth less than the original... check on ebay and popsike and then decrease the value by 15-20%

  11. perhaps not a misprint actually... i think the spanish label is the same on both redlight and second coming... So really, I just have the second coming without a cover... useful links i am discovering so thanks again!
