Comelade born was in Montpellier, France. After living for several years in Barcelona, he made his first album, Fluences, influenced by electronic music and by the group Heldon.
Subsequently, his music has become more acoustic and is characterised by the sounds of toy instruments, used as solo-instruments and as an integral part of the sound of his group, the Bel Canto Orquestra.
He has collaborated with many singers and musicians from diverse genres of music including Robert Wyatt, Dani, Faust, Christophe Miossec, Toti Soler, Jac Berrocal, and P.J. Harvey to mention just a few.

ReplyDeletere pascal comelade: thanks!, I'm loving this
ReplyDeletesuperbe...
ReplyDeleted'autres Comelade à venir ?
Thanks a lot for Paralelo. But could you confirm whether the second song on side a is meant to sound like that? The clicking after 1 minute sounds like a digital artefact. I wouldn't expect that on a record from 1980.
ReplyDeleteThis is yet another anon with huge thanks for Paralelo.
ReplyDeleteBut the second track is indeed faulty. Could you please rip and post it again!!!
Thanks!!!!
Hi,
ReplyDeleteParalelo is great, but I also noticed track two has lots of gaps that can't be neatly re-joined, and it also stops suddenly before it is actually finished [it doesn't segue into the next track] - it's certainly faulty. Along with the other folks can I request a fixed re-up?
regards
Chris
A fixed re-up would be indeed very welcome. In addition it seems that at the B side a track was split into two parts, resulting in overall 11 instead of 10 tracks (hence the untitled piece).
ReplyDeleteSorry for nagging, but the LP rarely turns up and a CD rerelease seems so unlikely. Also I doubt it would be the original album then: As it turned out, "Sentimientos" was just rereleased last year by Barcelona's G3G label but is disappointingly very different from the original DYS album. Monsieur Comelade often plays strange games.
