They only had two albums, this is 2nd. - The comments section of your other post for "Don't Open (aka s/t)" indicates that it was actually this album initially posted there & someone offered to rip their LP for you. Are they now each correct in each post? - I assume your followers like to know.
no Mystery Poster..none ripped the so called 1st LP...and i'm very confused....some resources talk about 3 LPs(st,don't open and this one),some others for 2(don't open or st and this one)...this is the reason i'm posting the one i have as Music or not music here, just to clear out things
please do post it.... rate your music mentions 3 lps...discogs 3...prog archives 2 to name but a few i think the confusion is with their 1st and don't open...must have common tacks and possibly one of them (don't open)contains songs from music or not music
Guys, they had only two vinyl albums. The first was "Don't Open", the second one "Music Or Not Music" Both were re-released as a one-CD twofer called "Recreation". I'm from Belgium, just as the band was. The track titles of both posts in the mutantsounds blog are mixed up. I have original vinyl copies of both so I'm able to sort it out for all of you. What we have here in this post is the complete first album, called "Don't Open", but with one track from the second album that thus doesn't belong here. The following comment has the right track titles and numbers of this first album.
Here are the good titles/tracks: the track posted as number 6 ("War Business is a good job") is in fact track 5 from the first album. The correct track title is "California Dreamin'". The track posted as number 2 ("Glove Story") is in fact track 1 from the first album. Correct track title is "Burning Chapel". The track posted as number 4 ("Nothing's Holy") is in fact track 3 from the first album. Correct track title is "Sexual Lover". The track posted as number 5 ("Concerto For Elevator") is in fact track 4 from the first album. Correct track title is "Summer In The City". The track posted as number 1 ("And The Producer Got Mad") doesn't belong here, it's a track from the second album. The track posted as number 7 ("To End Or Not To End") is in fact track 6 from the first album. Correct track title is "Reach Out, I'll Be There". The track posted as number 3 ("Laughin' People-Meanwhile-Starvin' Children") is in fact track 2 from the first album. Correct track title is "Running For Life".
That's it, there were only 6 tracks on that first album. Glad to give something back to this excellent blog, even if it's only info.
P.S.: in the comments of the other Recreation post I promised to rip this first one ("Don't Open"). I intended to do that the coming weekend, but as it is complete here in this new post (although with wrong track numbers and names) there's no need for it anymore. Just correct the track numbers and names as stated above, folks.
woww Lex,thank you very much...this means if someone has d/l both my posts has both LPs complete, isn't it?A bit puzzling posts, sorry for that...i really appreciate your great help
Indeed, you're right, the track that doesn't belong here in this upload (the track called "And The Producer Got Mad") is the missing track from the second album (" Music or not Music"), that you posted a few days ago. The front cover of that second album is the pink photo with the egg posted here. I don't know the front cover on the post from a few days ago, I guess it's the one from the CD that contains both. For a photo of the cover of "Don't Open" there's a link in my comments on the other post. Unfortunately I don't have a working scanner nor a digital camera at the moment, otherwise I would make good scans of both fronts and backs.
