The 7th set of Obscure DIY 7"s

Absolute Body Control:Is there an exit?/I'm Leaving,7" ,1981,Belgium
Here it is, the holy grail of belgian EBM and industrial or electro wave. Absolute Body Control was Dirk Ivens first project. This is their first single from 1981 on Blitz records.
A MUST!
Autumn:Synthesise/The Third Autumn,7",1981,Belgium
Actually Twilight Ritual members.Fantastic minimal synth 7"in the vein of Polyphonic Size,Snowy Red,etc.

Citizen UK-st,10" e.p,1981,UK /France
Fantastic minimal synth/post punk 7" by this UK band on L'Invitation Au Suicide label.Unfortunately the A side (Apocalypse ) is terribly damaged (somekind of acid droped over it)and was impossible to be ripped. If anyone can provide this it will be much appreciated! In the vein of Autopilot/B Movie/Sad lovers and Giants!

Elektronische Musik aus Köln:Sunken Galleons And Pirate Pictures,7",1986,Germany
Great minimal synth with ethnic edges 7".

Gleitzeit: Ich komme aus der DDR ,7",1984,Germany

Absolutely fantastic NDW/minimal synth 7"! A MUST!Kraftwerkian tunes,cold teutonic beats,robotic vocals!

Hit Parade-Bad News e.p, 1982,UK
EXCELLENT anarcho synth punk on CRASS label

Los Paranos,France
actually not a 7" but 2 songs from compilations in the early 80s.Excellent minimal synth, should have been a 7".

Moss Garten :st e.p 1983,Sweden
Fantasic minimal synth e.p in the vein of Transparent Illusion,Stranger station, etc. No pic sleeve scans, sorry!
THANKS RYAN FOR THE SCANS!
Plast :I Köket Desperat 7"ep,1980, Sweden
The Swedish record label Stranded's second release is this art rock/synth group. "I köket desperat" and "En eventuell morgondag" is two interesting pieces of experimental/minimal synth music in the vein of early Cabaret Voltaire/Vice Versa, etc. The other two tracks is more of just experimental electronic sounds with lyrics.

  1. Dear MS:

Your site is just too amazing: not just the music, but also the context-setting. (On that score, the non-band-referential descriptive insight is particularly enjoyable.)

Please keep your amazing site going.

Finally, the European minimal electronic and noise stuff is very cool, but arguable the Japanese scene really got things going. Perhaps this would make for a good development?

    Thanks again,

    Frejus

  2. Excellent, these are great, thanks for the post, although I'm having problems with two eps :Elektronische Musik aus Köln and Gleitzeit: they don't want to be unrar-ed. (the rest work fine though).

  3. Nice, brilliant 7"s. But the Persistant Gods's "come into the ash garden" ep is also an obscure and brilliant gem. Will somebody post this one, please?!
