McLUHAN-ANOMALY, LP, 1970, USA

Truly wonderful brassy proto-prog with a major case of the zanies and a vibe that while not necessarily sounding specifically like them, arrives at a nascent form of prog from the same distinctly American angle as David Stoughton or Probe 10 (whose LP I posted about a month back).

  5. Hi guys, welcome back Eric!

I have a question regarding the Kulu Hatha Mamnua upload from back in March: are all the files there? It seems to be missing a track 7 and also the tags seem to imply that there are 24 tracks in total, of which only the first 11 (minus track 7) are in the .rar?

Thanks so much for all of this wonderful music...!

  8. Just looking for more information on Anomaly because my step-dad just burned me a copy. He apparently played an instrument on this record...either bass or keyboard (not really sure).

At any rate, I really dig this album. Cheers.

  9. Spencer - Is your step-dad Tom Tojza? Or possibly Marvin Krout? My name is Paul Cohn and I was in the group, played flute/sax/clarinet. I am trying to locate everyone and get everyone together for a reunion of sorts. You can email me at paulc@citywide.com. Also, more information is on my blog at paulcohn.typepad.com.
