THE SHINY MEN-AGAIN!, LP, 1981, UK
With a definite akin to the likes of Dalek I (which I posted a month or so ago) via band members to damn proficient to hide their prog pasts and a penchant for investing their borderline commercial new wave with all manner of subtle fuckery, This black sheep of Nurse With Wound's United Dairies label (released via John Fothergill's Experimental Records sub-division and much disliked by Stapleton) turns out to actually be a pretty damn cool record. Also...Robert Wyatt freaks take note, as he appears on the track Dream Pussy here, and is thanked in the credits for offering much encouragement. Guess that'd account for the post-prog hangover...

ReplyDeleteHello there Monsieur Mutant. I appreciate that in the wake of the recent filehost shutdowns you may feel wary of expending the time & energy to reupload anything, since the sacred guardians of Pirates Of The Caribbean IV and Madonna may shut down Rapidshare and Mediafire next, but... it really would be very nice if this LP (whose RS link has ceased functioning) could be made available once more. Thanks for everything, esswis
