LETHE-VOICE FESTIVAL, CDR, 1999, JAPAN

Stark and intriguing dark electronics besotted improvisations that mate Kuwayama Kiyoharu's arsenal of tools (metals, guitar, violin, cello, "handmades" and much Schnitzler-like electronic surging) with a rotating roster of Japanese improvisors over the course of several music festival dates, their alternating counterpoints of drums, sax, violin and further electronics entwining themselves around Kuwayama's strafed sheets of bleakness in a way that makes this lot seem like a shoo-in for a future PSF release. This lengthy CD has been divided into two parts.
