HENRI GOUGAUD-CHANSONS POUR LA VILLE/CHANSONS POUR LA VIE, LP, 1973, FRANCE
Part of a 70's tradition in France of having underground rock musicians back singer/songwriter types with quasi-progessive backdrops, posting this LP in truth is a bit of an completist gesture for the true Magma obsessive as only a third of what's here is of any real interest, though having the opportunity to hear three top Magma cats (Jannick Top, Claude Olmos & Teddy Lasry) jam out in a session with drummer Bernard Lubat over these three cuts ("Les Tout-Gris", "Beton Arme" & "Je Suis La Ville", FYI) goes a long way toward making up for the insipid remainder, which will remind you of why the word chansons is featured prominently in the title.

Amazing, rare find! In the songs that Top is featured on, you can definitely hear some of what will become Ork Alarm!
