Musica Elettronica Viva(MEV)-st(polydor LP,aka Friday),1969,UK/Italy

Here's MEV rarest record.Released in UK 1969 features only one long track spreaded over the 2 sides.Strange avant garde improvisations touching psych weirdness in many parts.Musica Elettronica Viva collective was founded in 1966 with members Frederic Rzewski(electronics, piano), Alvin Curran(flugelhorn, Ananda label), Richard Teitelbaum(moog synthesiser), Franco Cataldi(trombone, etc), Gunther Carius(Saxophone, etc.). Never reissued since 1969.Thank you Mr. Ashtray Navigations(;)) for this.

  3. Ciao Mutantsound;
    fantastic blog as usual since I discovered it some months ago, now a shy request for you, since it seems you can find "everything".
    This italian LP I can't find anywhere (I've listened to it once and loved)..
    "Peter Sellers & The Hollywood Party - To Make A Romance Out Of Swiftness - 1989
    It is a crazy music, a sort of mix between Robyn Hitchcock & No Strange to make an example..
    Another album I look for since centuries is the double vinyl by Johnny G, also out in this period.
    Thanks anyway for the always great choice of music on your blog

  4. Thank you very much!

    On a side note, I read somewhere that the AMM/MEV you posted here some time back contained sounds from other releases by both groups. I think that in the case of AMM it was *The Crypt*, but I don't know what it was for MEV. Anybody know?

  7. Hello, thanks for all the great material you're posting.

    A request, do you have the album "Tokyo GA" by the French band Dick Tracy?

    PS - I started my own musical blog, check it out.

  8. i need some advice pls from other users. i have been trying to download this MEV LP for two days now. i do not have a rapidshre account and have always managed w/ the delays rapidshre put in to discourage people not having an account. but this time it seems like rapidshare are out to stop free downloading. each time i get thru i am told i have to wait as i have jsut downloaded somethnig [i have not] or that i have entered too many incorrect user codes [again not true] so as i say it seems to me they are basically making it impossible to download unless one pays for it. i need this MEV record so much i will go there if necessary but wanted other users advice first. - thanks and apologies for length of this.

    great great blog by the way and you need a knighthood or nobel prize for making this MEV lp available
