Very strange synth LP from 1977. Early minimal synth or what?! Some spacey disco influences here and there, but a great space synth LP, reminding much Warning mixed with Klaus Schulze or Tangerine Dream. Great !
Yep - this record came out in 1977. Despite it being way ahead of its time, and rare as hell, I couldn't give the damn thing away. Took me like 5 tries on ebay to sell it - for $7. In fact, the photo Jim uses here looks like my old copy! LOL. I think it's a good record for what it is. The press just missed it. And continues to do so. Oh, and Wah Wah Watson plays guitar on this.
This record was recorded in California with Alex Cima and a guy that worked for Oberheim along with other artists mentioned above. Totally awesome cali synth music and VERY hard to find. The back cover shows the studio and more 3d rendering stuff from the 70s. Great post!!!
Wow, cool. This is Doug Lynner from Invisible Zoo fame. Good stuff here.
ReplyDeletewonderful post, Jim.
ReplyDeletethank you.

Nice! Did this really come out in 1977? If a band put something like this out now the press would be all over them...
ReplyDeleteFANTASTIC!!!! Thanks for another great round Jim.
ReplyDeleteTruly Fucked
Man, this record stinks.
ReplyDeleteDLing this with anticipation.
ReplyDeleteAnyone have the second Warning album? I'd love to hear that.
Smells good to me, thanks
