The Reversible Cords -st,LP,1980,USA

Great Texas ,Austin art punk band here. Female vocals, DIY sound, reminds a mix of Blodie with Kleenex, with a big blend of the Slits sounding. Manny unusual for a punk band instruments,as accordeon and sax. Band had backed Roky Erickson . Worth a close listening and exploration! They released just this LP and a 7" e.p. before splitting up .

  1. Gee wiz, look at all these posts! Think I know what I'm doing tomorrow. Time for bed now. I remember this group from a Homework comp I had. And I might have heard the Psylons from somewhere. The rest I have no clue, which is why I love this site.
    Thanks
    Scott

  3. Fuck yeah, Reversible Cords! I've got this record and been meaning to rip it, maybe this'll get their essential shit out to a wider audience. Do you have the 7"? (I don't... please upload if you do!)

  7. w/Ex-Huns drummer Tom Huckabee.

    A Raul's era and post-Huns band I believe.

Ty Gavin of The Next drums on a song.

Sonic Youth supposedly are fans of this album.
