Olney - Songs for the Synthesizer ,3" cd-r,2004,USA
Great and almost unknown synth/minimal synth gem.Released in just 50 copies 3" cd-r edition through Green Horn label. All music is performed with a 1981 Rogue Moog. Not far from early(very early) Depeche Mode sounding.A real litle gem!
This was recorded around 2004 with a "Rouge" synthesizer, which Moog developed in 1981. It was the first synthesizer with a "guitar like kneck" on it. Probably the only analog with a guitar kneck.
I heard one of the songs many years ago and bought a 3 inch cd. I’ve never forgotten this music. Very imaginative synth pop. This music is proof that limitations make you more creative. He gets every drop of potential out of that tiny synth. I would love to hear what else he has done.
