THE SECOND VDOANDSOUND VINYL AUCTION

For those of you who still have an interest in original artifacts, the second round of experimental/psych/prog/what-the-fuck? vinyl obscurities have just been hoisted for auction by moi, this time including some rather eyebrow raising items, including Steven Stapleton's original copies of five of the albums that appear on the NWW list, part of a raft of titles bought from his archive circa 2004. Those interested in seeing whats on offer, please head on over to Vas Deferens Organization's site Here to view the hyperlinked list of vinyls being auctioned.

  1. Thanks, Eric, and please make new posts tonight if you can. I have been playing the latest five to death for the past week (hard to believe it's already been a week). Hope you are doing well. And thanks for everything.

  3. Any chance of uploading the Jef Gilson before it gets sold ?Oh, I am sure Eric already has this one digitized. I can't imagine him selling stuff on eBay without first converting the tracks to MP3s on his hard drive.

  9. I'd like an upload of worlds within worlds since if someone is willing to pay $600 for it, it has to be a little bit good, right?

  10. I'd like an upload of worlds within worlds Do a search within the blog. "Worlds Within Worlds" has already been posted here (although more than two years ago, and at a very low bit rate):

  11. i'm certain our friend ment kirchin's first worlds within worlds record from '71. you posted the second from '74. and i must say it's the same horrible rip that circles on soulseek. anyway, can't believe you're sitting on a copy of worlds vol.1 and haven't posted it yet? that would be imo the best post ever on this or any other music blog. and it won't hurt your auction, i bet you'll get rid of it, even for the asked $1000 (good god!).
thanks for all your posts so far!

  12. Based on how low some of the prices for Eric's records went for, you can say the economy is a cocksucker right now. :(

Eric, if you read this - I too would appreciate a NEW rip of "Worlds Within Worlds" - the version circulating on soulseek and certain Bit Torrent sites is a really bad recording.

I doubt Jim would mind having a better-quality version as well.

    Best!
