BASIL KIRCHIN-WORLDS WITHIN WORLDS, LP, 1971, UK

Here's the long awaited, much requested and absurdly rare first of Kirchin's two Worlds Within Worlds albums, the second having been posted by Jim long ago. Rather than retrace the same ground, I'll just quote my auction text for the copy of this that I just divested myself of: "This was the 1971 predecessor to Kirchin's much more well known/distrbuted Worlds Within Worlds Pts. 3 & 4 and involves a similar universe of grotesquely morphed and pitched sonic treatments, only here, legendary improvisors like Derek Bailey and Evan Parker are to be found growling, plinking and spluttering amidst this melee, making this a monster rarity for fans/followers of them as well."

  1. Thanks so much for this, Eric. No Rowenta LP just yet, it appears. But I hope that will make a future batch of posts. I think you are trying to space things out a bit, which I can't blame you one bit for doing. :)

  22. Thanks for posting this up.

This LP is rare indeed and I am very grateful for your efforts. That and $5 might get you a cup of coffee somewhere.

BUT, if you're ever in Santa Rosa, CA, you let me know and I'll be happy to buy you some coffee.

    Enjoy the holiday. Cheers!
