Just a small heads up to let all of you know that an exclusive new Shits And Giggles (Ariel Pink + Vas Deferens Organization) track titled "Ripcord" is featured on the Wire Tapper 22 compilation CD that comes free with the newly released October issue of The Wire.
Unfortunately where I live, all booksellers, i.e., Barnes & Noble, Borders, Books-a-Million, etc. take the CD off the cover, in order to sell the magazine cheaper. So there's no way for me to get a copy, except paying $20 for it to be shipped from U.K. to U.S. Oh well, guess I have to pass. Would really like to hear the track, though.
ReplyDeletehmmm to drop or not to drop by ...
ReplyDeleteactually have you planned this track for some extra representation? Frankly, I cannot get rid of the thinking that they see this more as AP project than VDO one. I can't remember I ever read a review of VDO in a WIRE, I thought S˛G will be in the October one, but ...
otherwise, well done!
noisenik-"Ripcord" was the only unfinished piece left over from the 5 days of studio work in which Trick Or Treat was composed, arranged and recorded, so the Wire's offer proved an ideal way to get that cut finished and released. As for VDO reviews in The Wire,
ReplyDeleteKeenan reviewed "Sweat Your Cheeses, But Not In My Salad" and Coley reviewed our "Tilt?" 10", so the powers that be there been aware of who we are for a while.
If like experimental-krautish-psychedellia-rock whatever, then check out a god friend of mine's music at :

ReplyDeleteI still don't get why people come onto blogs to complain. I have left comments in various places about my opinion on the music(Whether it was a popular opinion,or not), but never to complain how it wasn't put on there good enough quality for my ears.
