MIXER-ANDROS, LP, 197(?), ITALY

Enjoyable and deeply obscure library synth action from Italy. Lots of wacky little thematic chestnuts amiably plonking along in the mode of Eddie Warner's library albums alongside Eric Swan and Georges Teperino here. One for your next space age bachelor pad soiree.

  1. Is there any further information about this?
I can't read the logo at the top rear right... what label and catalogue number is that?
The internet yields me nothing further!

  5. Totally random request...anybody recall the name of the defunct noise cassette label whose logo was an illustration of an old, crazed looking guy with a mustache? Somebody posted all their releases on a site (I think, rather than a blog), with a green background. Sadly I've lost the link.

Thanks to the Mighty Mutant for all the posts. And thanks for any help to my above quandry anyone can lend.

  7. ########################
    ERROR WITH RAR READ THIS:
    ########################

Hello fellow Mutant Sound readers, the RAR files are OK.

The error exists because there is a ? ie QUESTION MARK in the filename.

Windows cannot accept this character, however Winrar will extract the files and rename them, but this this gives an error.

    THE FILES ARE OK

Mutant Sounds I know you use an Apple just letting you know these characters are forbidden in windoze.

    Thanks for posting this album.

  8. anonymous-that's not correct. While the title of this post contains the question mark standing in for the absent release date info, there are no forbidden characters in the text of the actual link. No idea what the deal is for a few of our followers with this one, but nothing out of the ordinary is going on with the contents of this link...

  9. It is indeed quite odd, whether the source is an errant character which Windows can not accept - and I must admit, it's not something I'd thought of -I was able to save each fle, but only by clicking to open each file from the archive so they would be moved to a temporary folder, then moving them, individually, to the folder I wanted them to appear in.

It's funny, te logo of that label, I could swear I've seen it before, but with all the teeny tiny Italian Library labels that lasted five minutes each... rrrrg!

  12. Hi there! I was wondering if you would consider posting an article of mine. It's about an up and coming experimental jazz-electropop band about to release their debut album this year. They are currently working with D.Bascombe, the producer/ mixer who has collaborated with Kylie Minogue, Natalie Imbruglia, Verve, Suede, etc.

The band plays jazz music but their songs are also classified under electronica. It's interesting how both jazz and electropop were merged into one by this band!

Tell me if you're interested in posting my article so that I can send it to you. Please contact me at doc_alma_jones AT yahoo DOT com. Thanks for your time!

    Cheers,
    A.J.

  14. For what its worth I had to change the "?" in the file name to another character before using winrar. I'm on an XP platform.
    Unique sounds, *ahem!*
Anywau thanks for this and a million other interesting sounds to all at MS.

  15. Really though everyone, if you have Windows you have to get rid of that question mark in order to extract the files out.

  17. the first "party" download asked me for a password. What is it? I appreciate your attention

  18. gerireig-there are no passwords used or required on any posts on this site. I have no idea why you're being prompted for one. Most odd.

  20. Thanks! Cool that there's some mystery about this...

  21. The label is called SABLE. This record is the only example of the label in Jonny Trunk's book "The Music Library" (highly recommended). According to the book, it's a late 70ies Italian label with little known output and most artists used pseudonyms.

  22. Please include this one in the mass re-ups. I'm positive it doesn't work.
