GAM-GAM 1976,LP,1976,Germany
German pioneer of the echo-guitar, renowned for his classics "Samtvogel" and "Überfällig", he also worked with Klaus Schulze (in concert). Günter also ventured in to more explorative Krautrock and developed a style comparable to the early work of Achim Reichel. The GAM trio (Günter Schickert, Axel Struck, and Michael Leske) featured two guitars and drums, and is really freaked-out improvisations recalling the psychedelic space treks of Ash Ra Tempel or Pink Floyd.

I love this blog. You guys are doing a great job(also taking up a lot of harddrive space!).
A request maybe? I've been looking for years for any of The Shadow Ring albums. Have any of those?
thanks!

You Guys are insane, I have been collecting, mainly kraut, for 10 years now and can not fathom how you are able to get your hands on some of these... your either very rich or very lucky. either way thank you, I like you guys better than my friends.
Three of the Shadow Ring LPs are (and always have been available) from Scott Foust at Swill radio.

Thanks for the GAM, I've listened to it three times so far and it gets better each time!
really looking forward to listening to this
many many thanx
Thanks for this great rarity! I don't recall DL'ing the file from this page, but apparently the guy who gave a link to wherever I took it (kraut-team ?) used your link (the file name is the same)
Just like the anonymous commenter, I'm also curious about eiszeit! Any chance ;) ?
Hey guys, this is great stuff to hear. I live in Berlin and GAM drummer Michael Leske is my landlord! I'm a drummer too, so it's an interesting coincidence. He played me some of their old GAM stuff a while back and I thought it was pretty interesting.
thanks a lot... I was looking for this one today, and surprise... here it was. thanks again.
Any chance of getting this re-ripped at 320? One of my favorite krautrock albums, and I'd like a better copy than at 128. Would be greatly appreciated.
You should support the label that have issued this & not download. It is availble as a remasterd CDR release (& original cassette even) cheap & with easy PayPal payment at http://home.btconnect.com/ultimathule/tachyon/schickertgunter/02gam1976.html
We also have the official studio album on manufactured CD "Eiszeit" available & Gunters solo "Kinder In Der Wildnis"
