YVES ET ALAIN LORENTZ-ESPACES 2, LP, 1981, FRANCE

Another entry (and a highly unknown one at that) in the pantheron of dark acidic French electronic prog, the Lorentz brothers work compares favorably with the likes of Heldon, Lard Free, Spacecraft, Verto, Ilitch et.al. True, it's a mite more subdued then those lysergic brainburners, but that subdued aspect lends Espaces 2's bleary narcotized webs of synth and guitar filigree it's unique late-night gravity. A classic of sorts.

  1. Hey Thanks so much for the Nord and Yves Alain Lorentz "espaces 2"! I really dug both. Your description of the Yves Alain Lorentz as "bleary narcotized webs of synth" is so on point! Late night drug mayhem for sure!

    peace go with you brother

  3. Off-topic, but could you help me with getting any info on Sensational Creed....? "Nocturnal Operations" is the only 12'' maxi (not so rare I suppose, 1981 and then reissued in 1984) I own and I wonder if there is any other masterpieces, can you help? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks for Yves Alain Lorentz as well... "A classic of sorts", for sure.

  4. "."-Sensational Creed...that's one I've not explored yet. Billy Mackenzie-related stuff is a bit of a bilnd spot for me as I didn't glom on to The Associates' work 'til last year and have been playing catch-up.

  5. re: yves et alain lorentz... wow sounds cool, all my fave bands of the french electronic prog scene mentioned in a similar ilk! Although I haven't d/loaded it yet, I'm sure it won't disappoint, looking fwd to d/loading all these at work on monday! (I don't have b/brand, but work does!, makes the drudgery of employment more tolerable)

As a request, I think someone mentioned 'schizo' but do you have any other heldon/lard members solo stuff?, "Georges Grunblatt", "Alain Renaud" etc?

    Keep up the mutations!
