A gorgeous piece of lost Belgian prog history with a sound simultaneously delicate and driving and rather like a more rocking version of Rene Lussier and Andre Duchesne's old acoustic Quebecois prog ensemble Conventum with the addition of vocals.

Oh my God, what a fantastic post.
ReplyDeleteThe band that should have been mentioned was Julverne. Although the sound is different, the instruments are almost identical (add guitar and vocals).
Great, great post.
Another suggestion would be to post "Coulonneux" which was recorded two years after this. It took me forever to track down an LP that someone would let me convert to CD.
Could you please make a good straight photo of the group picture on the back of the album so there will be finally a clear picture of the band on the internet? I want to use for last.fm... thank you! ...and what a wonderful album!!

ReplyDeleteghozza-there's a reason all my album photo shots are angled: a) I don't have/use a scanner. Just a digital camera. B) if I photograph them facing upright, the flash will reflect off the jacket. I've tried not using a flash and the pictures invariably look dim, dull and slightly out of focus. Sorry...
ReplyDeleteIt's never late for some Gimp magic. Here you go, it looks pretty straight to me:

Mutant Sounds, thanks for sharing all these lost gems!
