YXIMALLOO-FANGS OF LUCIFER, LP, 1999 (RECORDED: 1981-1986), JAPAN

A highly amusing compendium of naif wheedle, decrepit mirth and tinker toy esoterica from this longstanding Residents-indebted Japanese operator probably best known for his collaborations with Jad Fair of Half Japanese. Fangs Of Lucifer culls together material from his early cassette culture forays, the hand hewn roughness of which gives this an almost Tori Kudo-like air of ennobled ungainliness.

anonymous-I grabbed it from no blog at all. I recorded this on saturday, though my camera died last weekend, so I had to use a photo from
rateyourmusic for this post.

I'm from Russia and my english not so good.
I don't know how to write to you owner of mutant sounds and i wrote wright here at the begining of the blog.
At firt i would like to say that you have great blog!Relly rare music and good.
But many of releses are on rapidshare - terrible filehosting!(if you don't have premium) and there are some problems whith IP's in Russia and some files are already deleted.

There is an idea to create torrent file whith all collection of your blog, you and other readers of the blog have some parts of it on their harddrives. I have 20Gb from 2007 yeah from your blog and I can participate.

please answer my post.

I come here a year later and you're still using rapidshare. What keeps you from use mediafire, which is much faster?

Very unique indeed.

mrgloom-sorry, but I'm not so interested in consolidating the contents of this blog into a torrent.

psychic vacuum-I used mediafire very early on and they deleted a whole bunch of my uploads in rapid succession. I never went back. Did you happen to notice that Megaupload links are also offered?

Yes, megaupload is committed and files are always stable there, whereas Rapidshare's IP waiting is annoying.
btw, is it possible to get albums like "15 songs" which Yximalloo once request to remove from nolongerforgotten blog?
there is no way I can buy it for the moment. Thanks!

Stoked to have something I released finally show up on MutantSounds! The label for this release is/was Old Gold. We are still based out of Atlanta, GA, and have a few copies of this in a box somewhere if anyone REALLY needs a copy of their own.
www.oldergolder.blogspot.com
It was an edition of 300 copies on clear vinyl. Yximalloo rocks!

i agree with the other guys about the file hosting service of rapidshare but lets be honest, its free music, so i wont complain too much! thanks for the site man, i really appreciate it. however can you allow permission for the torrent? im making my way back and after 5 days i'm only back to march of this year, i want all this dopeness as soon as!

thanks again man.

anonymous-I don't have the slightest problem if someone decides to torrent this particular album using my upload of it but if you're talking about the proposal stated above by someone else about consolidating the contents of this blog into a giant torrent, that I'm neither interested in participating nor seeing happen.

Dear mutantsounders-
Thanks for the Yximaloo post...great diy weirdo stuff- I love it.

My 2 cents on the fileshare issue. Meguapload seems to work, Vapidshare has become next useless with their so-called upgraded version. Have you considered using mediafire?

Again, thanks for the great blog.

I do like me some Mutant Sounds.

This being the case, it seems only fair that I--at the very least--make an offering of sorts.

Kisses Buh-Byeee "VIOLENCE"

perhaps if a terminally ill and somewhat senile Joe Meek had been producing music in parallel with Stock-Aitken-Waterman.

in any case, thanks.

Hi-

Thanks for the upload - this is a great album and I was really happy to hear it. I am also doing a concept album at the moment remixing Britney Spears with experimental and noise artists - and I did one using a Yximalloo track. You can hear it (and download it) here: http://soundcloud.com/supercomposition/britney-spears-3-yximalloo-mashup

Thought you might be interested.

All the best-
