Grupo Fongus-Guadalajara Rock,LP,1978, Mexico

Crazy stoned Mexican hard fuzzed out psych/garage LP.Very obscure, primitive production with some heavy metal influences but yet much freaked out to be considered metal.Reminds me a bit of Terry Brooks Strange ,Raw Power LP.
get it here

  3. anyone else getting a lot of skips during playback? i've tried winrar & izarc with the same results...bummed cause this sounds really good. If all else fails i'll probably go through & cut the skips out myself. just wondering if it's something on my end or not.

    thanks as always!!!!

Those aren't skips -- it's actually part of the music! Isn't it wild?! Very innovative, ahead of its time.

  5. well, now i don't know what to think...no, they definitely sound like skips to me, the stuttering happens with all the instruments at the same time (including the singer's voice). unless Fongus is the tightest band in the world, it's gotta be skipping. it's not constant, but enough to be distracting. so this didn't happen with anyone else? looks like i have a date with an audio editor...

once again, i'm not griping...excellent post!

  8. Hi mutantsounds,
just wondering if you had an alternative copy of Grupo Fongus without the skips/jitters? Thanks!

  9. Hi,
just re-requesting a fixed version of the Grupo Fongus album, or at least requesting a reply to tell us whether your own version has these skipping problems? There never was a response from you about this problematic album posting; as the music is obviously so good, behind the skips, I'm sure I'm not the only one hoping there is a skip-less rip to be had. [And while I'm here, are you still planning to re-rip and re-post Bucchi's Sunflower album as promised?]
    thanks in advance,
    Chris
