PTA'S-A LONG GOOD-BYE, 8" E.P., 1982, JAPAN
Long forgotten Japanese crew who issued a handful of odd sized and odd sounding vinyls on the Cragale imprint, a label (and, I believe, record store) associated with the Minor Club that birthed so much of the 80's Japanese underground (think Fushitsusha, Maher Shalal Hash Baz, Kousokuya etc) that would go on to be associated with the PSF label and it's a scene that The PTA's deserve to be considered more than a footnote of. The A side establishes a sexily seasick post punk saunter with cod-ethnic overtones and weaves snake-y strands of sax through the results to riveting ends while the B-side's lays out some Idiot O'Clock-like post-Velvets motion and rubs it against the grain of Phew style art pop eccentricity.

you must be one wack job, cause the music on this web channel is wacko. How in the world do you know all this stuff?, also what possesses someone to write huge write ups on lps and upload them for free. its alot of work. Ill say you did pick a few early seventies late sixties pieces here and there that are good but really you are indeed a mutant to know all of this bizarre music, occassionally you might have a decent record but so much garbage you like too

stone pothead comment sounds like a joke, some bored trolling. But if in doubt, yes, think definately 99% (rather than a mere) 90 of visitors/regulars are forever indebted to MS for this goldmine of offerings, and the work involved. I'm sure MS don't imagine any one listener will like every post. No obligation to take and even less to keep, dr. pothead. One man's garbage and discard is another's nugget full of possible meaning and potential.
