XX-UU, TAPE, 1981, GERMANY

Another confounding year zero blast of otherness from the Geniale Dilettanten fringe of the early 80's German sub-underground. Comprised of two untitled 30 odd minute plunderphonic-based melees, this has most of the basic sign posts you'd anticipate for this sorta fuckery. Turntable and tape speed abuse? Check. Hectoring blather? Check. random metals bashed about? Yes, that too. As geysers of nihilist dada junk spew from this era go, it's a pretty snazzy example. Too bad that all acts of public onanism aren't as amusing as this...

Caught you in the act of uploading. Proof I'm online way too much I guess. Looking forward to hearing this. Thanks!

Yes! More German weirdness from the 80's cassette fringe...a billion times more enjoyable to listen to than John Oswald, Christian Barcley etc ad nauseum

Imagine if the Stranglers knew about this. I can imagine J.J. Burnell getting all up in arms and demanding royalty payments.

A nice homemade recording.
Where are the musicians of today who do this kind of thing?
Most rely off of their computers too much now.
Pirate some music apps, quickly create some music, upload it on myspace, and check to see how many people listen to your tunes.
It's so hard to weed through all of this music to find the true heartfelt weirdness like this recording . . .
