GUYER'S CONNECTION-PORTRAIT, LP, 1983, SWITZERLAND

The debut from these revered Swiss minimal synth mongers and a follow up to my post of their eponymous and archivally issued second LP from '85, Portrait works a notably less wacky synth pop seam than the aforementioned but is no less ingratiating for the restraint. Sharp Kraftwerk-ian fun with a nearly archetypal approach to the form.

Many, many thanks for this. Any chance for a reupload of the earlier posted, later S/T album? The current link is dead.

Thanks again for a wonderful blog full of marvellous music.

Except these guys make Kraftwerk's lyrics read like James frickin' Joyce. A real miss with this. I'd say this is a semi-offensive curio at best. Stale novelty on the second play.

Couple cool little synth lines in there, but not worth the slog to hear 'em.
