LA LOORA-RESEDA REVEL, LP, 1986, GERMANY

This quite fantastic German outfit's dark-tinged, fractured and horn-centric spin on synth pop falls between lots of curious poles; their punchy rhythm programming undergirding obstreperous horn fanfares and juddering synth lines that mingle the structurally open-ended and trumpet-laden post punk explorations of The Anti Group with the post punk martial brass attack of Don King and the horn honking finesse of fellow German art rockers The Blech.

La Loora wasn't a spanish outfit at all. Infact they were from Berlin Kreuzberg and their opus is quite worthwhile to be detected, especially their early more experimental work with Split fronting as singer. Legendary is their show in New Yorks Danceteria where Split dumped a box of cockroaches in the audience...
check out a fan made myspace site http://www.myspace.com/laloora
Their album "Second Edition" for Virgin and the split album with Psychic TV "Live at Atonal" is quite frequently offered in secondhand mailorders.

Seems to be more a German thing, than Spanish. Would love to hear their earlier works, seems they put out a good few :)

Anonymous numbers one and two-right you both are. It's been changed to reflect that. And if I weren't burning the candles at both ends to get this last round of posts up, that factoid would likely have registered before I made the careless snafu.

I think you are the right one to ask for this: Mark Beer. His singles and his album, you can't find anything of him nowadays. Not even "Pretty" is on Youtube! This seems to be one of the best really lost post punk gems. Can you help??!??

Right, sure LL was a Berlin-based band in the early 80s. I´ve been a founder member of it and I´m quite astonished that our different records are still somewhat favorued by a lot of people within our beloved internetcommunity.
I´m wondering if it would make sense to revive the group again.
Anyway, thanks for the buzz that´s still going on. amandowiczxx
