GARY ALLEN-IN WHITE AMERICA, 12" EP, 1982, USA

Proactively deranged and aggressively gay art damaged electropop-into-mutant-funk curiosity, sounding not remotely like anything else I've ever heard. Many would consider much of this a minimal synth record. If anything, this is a maximal synth record, with big weird in-your-face electronics and startling stereo imaging, tactics that tie it in practice (if not substance) with Britain's The Passage. A masterpiece and I defy anyone who hears Itchy Itchy Boy and Oops! It's An Accident to not have them ricocheting around in your head for weeks after.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for posting this genuis/ way ahead of its' time e.p. by Gary Allen (not to be confused with the modern country music performer). I purchased this e.p. abt. fifteen years ago from a thrift shop (for one dollar) and lost it along the way. I knew one other person who was familiar w/ this album and I haven't seen her in years. Freakin' fantastic.
