Phil Brammer/V.A.-In Colour/Music by Numbers,LP,1981,UK
Great and much unknown electronic/minimal synth/weird DIY LP/compilation from 1981. In the same vein as Deleted ,Intergrated Circuits and even Fuck off! records releases.Besides i guess all these guys were somekind of a collective, friends ,whatever.Side 1 is totally Phil Brammer stuff ,and side A is a compilation featuring:Sea of Wires,Franz Czech,Yesterday's Parties,Watch with mother and Climate of Treason. One of the greatest and much underrated UK DIY /Synth compilations from the early 80s.Thanks to Fabio for the rip.

My copy of this one was stolen years ago and I'd really appreciate mp3s if you could possibly arrange that. We weren't really a collective, by the way, but after this album some of us did collaborate on bringing out other stuff (for The Destructors, London Pleasures, The Warholas...).
really impressed that Mr Brammer himself contacted us...please e-mail me at jbull23@gmail.com to arrange details for sending you mp3 copy....also any unreleased stuff would be much appreciated
thanks

This is just awesome. To me, the years 1979 to 1981 brought the most incredible wealth of sheer creativity the musical world has ever seen, and this record is a fine example. Thank you for this, must be rare as hell!
I am Yvette Doll - I founded ZooMetronome, Intrigue, Fabrique, Obession, Saderal Records, Sexual Phonograph, American Phonograph & etc.
Zoometronome was theoretically a collective - marketed via the IKF company referred to on the sleeve.
The relationship with Pat Smith of IKF lasted until his company ceased trading.
Some of the 'ZooMetronome' people are releasing records today.
FYI, the track listing on this is messed up (I'm NOT complaining! just trying to help out!) The sides are switched and a Phil Brammer track is missing, either 'Little Fishes Inna Big Tank' or 'Don't Sit On My Razorblade Honey'--not sure which it is. THANKS, Jim, for this amazing thing, totally unknown to me....
I still don't have a copy of this - would someone please be kind enough to send me an mp3 copy (or better, a CD version)? It is my stuff, you know. It's not like I'm going to rip your arm off in some fucked up copyright claim. It's just that after all these years I'd like to hear what I put on this album!
Get in touch, Yvette, I'm not exactly difficult to find.

Hi Phil,
Eric (vdoandsound) here. Not sure why this failed to get re-upped before (this was Jim's post, not mine) but since it didn't, I've re-upped it myself. Sorry for what has evidently been a pretty long wait!
Eric
Just received an mp3 rip from Robin (bass player, Yesterday's parties). Thank you, Robin, and thank you Mutant Sounds!
Hi Phil, I did the manufacturing and attempted distribution of this album, and even got a credit on the cover (Pat Smith I.K.F.). I also remember sharing a few pints with you in London on occasion.
Next time I'm over at my mother's I'll have a root around in the garage we used as a warehouse in the early days, I may uncover a copy or two of the original album.
Hope the world is treating you well,
Pat.
Wow! Hi Pat. The world just got much smaller and cozier. Hope you're well. Are you still in the business? I've got a sound studio here that's still in boxes from my last move (10 years ago!) which I'm hoping to set up once we've done breaking out the old rotten plaster from the cottage. At least the rain isn't getting in any more. In the meantime I'm busy building websites and editing video - got myself qualified as a multimedia engineer in Amsterdam before moving to sunny Scotland. Thanks for the offer of some vinyl - that would be grand. I'm sure the chaps at Mutant Sounds will pass on my email address.
Hi, just making note for myself to retry later as RS is being a b*tch.
Thank you SO much for your Herculean efforts to keep all this music available.
