BRUME-NO-BODY (PART 1/2), CD EP, 1991, FRANCE
Following several previous Brume posts of mine, here's another key piece of the Christian Renou puzzle. Part one of No-Body finds Renou at perhaps his most explicitly Nurse With Wound-like, with spare assemblages of unsettling psychoacoustics arrayed in a distinctly Homotopy To Marie-like fashion; whispered voices, distant radio babble, ghostly wheezes and squelchy extrusions of electronic grit jostling and coalescing in quixotic ways, while part two thickens the plot in a more typically dense, addled and reverb stewed Renou fashion to highly dramatic ends.
