Father Pat Berkery-Prayers For a Noonday Church,LP,1969,USA

Strange freakish xian psych LP.Fr. Pat Berkery, a “with it” priest reaching out to the counterculture around him.Hear Fr. Berkery reciting his cosmic religious poetry over instrumental backing by the psychedelic/hippie rock group 'SPUR'!! Some heavy organ and lead guitar dominated garagey hard rock moves. An amazing venture into insanity. One of the strangest ,yet wonderful psychedelic Xian LPs!

Sorry to invade this post but is there any chance of getting some more early power electronics stuff up like Pending Legal Action, Swastika Commando, Lyoto music? Really looking for the Private Thoughts comp on AWB as well. Been clicking that link every chance I get so you can win that prize! Thanks.

Wow- now that was absurd. Love the guy's accent.

A request: did Saboten do anything else beside their track on Frith's compilation "Welcome to Dreamland: Another Japan," and if so, do you have any of it?

As of 4:45 pm U.S. mountain standard time this is not downloading. Tried a couple of different ways, almost certain it is not my equipment.

Thanks.

GREAT blog, btw

Thank you! I've been trying to find this ever since hearing wigged-out tune a few years ago on WFMU. If only Sunday school were like this I'd be a true believer.

Hey all, I've just been listening to Father Pat's album "prayers for a noonday church". My band from Australia (www.facebook.com/trappistafterland) will be in his neck of the woods while touring next year, and are interested in contacting him. Does anyone have his contact details? or know whether he is even still alive?
