Dave Jones - Midnight At The Birlec,tape,1983,UK

Another spacey electronics gem from the early 80s ICR tape catalogue.Dave Jones ,has released 3 more tapes(coming soon) and contributed in many compilations (Intergration, Rising from the red sand, etc.). Berlin school spaced out electronics here with experimental edges. Hearing all this ICR tape releases from early 80s i wonder if it's fair talking about ICR school , the same way we talk about Berlin school electronics....

These are just amazing finds! To think that all these gems have been sitting around undiscovered and un-rereleased until now is unbelievable. What happened to all these guys?

I think this is the same Dave Jones who had a couple of tracks on the "Visions" comp cassette:

I don't remember his other track, but his track that starts off side A is great, simple melodic sequencer bassline and drum machine with improv synth over top of it. The sound quality is a little raw and the levels distort a little, but still worthwhile. Looking forward to checking your post out.
