V/A-WHAT IS TRUTH?, LP, 1986, USA
Here's the first salvo of the What Is Truth? compilation series, which served to document a raft of primarily American 80's sub-underground experimental electronic, post-industrial and free improv oddniks and did so with some real panache across the course of three compendiums, the rest soon to be forthcoming. This first lovingly hand painted missive comes equipped with a handful of real gems, including smeared sonics and dyspeptic vibes from The German Shepherds, an exquisite bit of Chrystall Belle Scrodd-like surrealism from Randy Greif and a wonderfully nerve wracking gibberish-meets-pots-'n'-pans improv from the Phil Minton/Roger Turner duo; the overall mood evoked here strongly reminiscent of the Flies Like Holidays comp on Smegma's Pigface label.

Use 7-zip to extract the files. I have a feeling otherwise a lot of folks will have trouble getting the music from this.
Nice share. Should just have the .rar file extension. Or use 7-zip, as above poster said.
hi! thnx! you mean you have more comps... waiting... bravo re!
Thank you for posting this. I was involved in three of the bands on this album (Devil Belle Hippies, Research Defense Squad and Burden of Friendship) and it very nice to hear this again as my copy, alas, is long lost. I'm looking forward to hearing Vols. 2 and 3.
By the way, more information on and music by Research Defense Squad and Burden of Friendship (amongst other things) may be found at-
