MARATHON LIFE-S/T, LP, 1983, FRANCE

Fairly tasty mid-period Tangerine Dream cum Tyndall-like synthiness from this utterly obscure French unit. There weren't many French synth groups getting their teutonic on, making this something of a historical curio, and while it's not a mind blower by any stretch (some of the milkier bits here can border on the unctuous), there's a certain measure of mindless synthy joy to be found herein for those predisposed to this breed of cosmic cheese.

Speaking of Tyndall, do you have the second album "Traumland"?

Is it just me or does the drawing on the front of "Marathon Life" look a bit like Dustin Hoffman (who starred in a popular U.S. movie called "Marathon Man" some seven years prior to this LP's release)?

archigram-Yup. I'll post it, Sonnenlicht and Reflexionen (the first three) shortly.

The description has me saying "meh"... but that cover is awesome and I might download it anyway.

This is not a band, but the name of the record, it's a music library LP.

The guy on the cover seem to be a stencil of Serge Gainsbourg

Wow, thanks!! I have Sonnenlicht, and personally think it's underrated in the whole krautrock/sky records pantheon.

I appreciate it!!
