CONRAD SCHNITZLER-LIVE ACTION 1977, LP, 2002, GERMANY

Much of the wet splat zap attack you'd anticipate from Schnitzler's doings of this era are here in spades, but so too (at least on side A) are squashed little electropop motions struggling for air in the tidal pool of tweezing unsettling frequencies they're adrift in. Side B initially settles into a more reflective, even cosmic mood but chilly distant rhythm box clatter and the increasingly eerie dismal vibes that emerge at the halfway mark finally pull the proceedings into an entropic gravitational pit.

While everyone else compliments you guys on your posts, let me say I particulary enjoy the writing and description - "Much of the wet splat zap attack" - for example. It's Ptolemaic Terrascope worthy! Has anyone involved here ever written any music reviews?

thanks.

would you like the Mi-Mort cassette only version of Current 93's 'Dogs Blood Rising', or the 'Bethel' compilation in exchange?

Anonymous-thanks for the kind words. I wrote reviews for Alternative Press magazine from (approximately) 1997-2001, before everyone there that supported or covered adventurous music was summarily fired during a corporate housecleaning.

Pascal-don't have Giant. Sounds like a promising line-up! Maybe Mr. MS has it?

re:conrad live action, I love being pulled into an entropic gravitational pit! excellent sounds as always! Was wondering if Bernard Szajner's "some deaths take forever" is in the queue?

cheers

Thanks for the Live Action. I think the description of this LP on the Ultima Thule site is fairly accurate - "Like Rot and Ballet Statique mixed in a blender!" I, for one, certainly wouldn't object if you post some more Con!

Thanks for the new link - I'm a little behind on my Con!

Cheers,
