XX CENTURY ZORRO-LA VOLPE DU XX SIECLE, LP, 1983, ITALY

An Italian Slapp Happy trapped in a closet? Jac Berrocal duking it out with Joseph Hammer's optigan? Bene Gesserit dancing a tango with Ghedalia Tazartes? L. Voag serenading John Gavanti? These are the fleeting images coalescing in my addled brain as I attempt to navigate the formidably outre soundworld of XX Century Zorro and then express the cumulative weltanschauung of these maverick Italian weirdniks in some comprehensible fashion. Baffling, deranged work thats often enough sounds like all of the above occuring simultaneously, this is a real high water mark of the 80's Italian underground.

Outstanding... I made of copy of this from Rudolf Eb.er's original in '02, but it's stuck on a cassette (paired with Rob Wolf's Der Ball Ist Rund! This, of course, is infinitely more convenient. Many thanks, Mutants!

Darn, I'm new here and missed this gem - would anyone who grabbed it be so lovely as to upload it? I wouldn't ask if there were any other way of getting hold of it (I get the impression reissue's highly unlikely). A high-water mark indeed - and of the whole European avant scene.

I got it this time - I don't know if there was a glitch or a reupload, but many thanks for this! Hearing it in proper stereo for the first time's like hearing a whole new LP! A staggering piece of vinyl.

"your file is marked as illegal".
pity. and as far I can see there's nowhere else for it to be found in the blogosphere.
