THE BOX-S/T, 12" EP, 1983, UK

One of my favorite discoveries of late, this sax-driven and proggily complex slab of art damaged jazz punk brilliance sounds like the unholy lovechild of The Cravats and Uz Jsme Doma.

Great record! You read about the box in book In ndustrial Evolution: Through the 80s with "Cabaret Voltaire" – It is a well written and entertaining read.

The Box were awesome. Everything they did was honktastic. Great blog but please reconsider sharebee [or set up alternate links in the post]. Take care.

Anonymous-Don't know what PC users are experiencing, but Sharebee hasn't worked for this mac user for about a week now. Every time I try to upload a file, the same message appears:
"There was no file uploaded. Click here to try again."
When they've resolved their issues, I'll revert back.

Well, err ... this is Clock DVA without Adi Newton, why does nobody mention that? And yes, they are "wilder" than late Clock DVA, but Adi Newton could *compose*.

This was a great record(still is).
A similar record from the time was by a group called GORP, who released an album called the world according to Gorp...i think. I haven't heard that since most of my records disappeared during the 80's.Also the 'Secrets Out' lp by The Box. See this as a request.
