ET CETERA-S/T, LP, 1976, CANADA

Not to be confused with Wolfgang Dauner's acid damaged jazz rock group of the same name, this Et Cetera are an exceptionally Gentle Giant-like Canadian prog unit (specifically sounding as though they were influenced by In A Glass House's more delicate bits), whose mastery of this sound and further extension of it's latent potentials make them sort of an Eskaton to Gentle Giant's Magma, if that makes any sense. If you're as much of a sucker for well done proggy prog as moi, this is some stupidly lovely stuff to behold.

Too bad the lyrics and the voice are just above the average because the music is really good. Well, it's a real GENTLE GIANT copy but it sounds good!
Thanks!!

Finally got around to giving this a listen. Those Quebecois folks really hit harder than their weight class, didn't they?!?! Killer synth sounds on this one. K I L L E R.
I still can't get enough of that Toubabou record either.
