Back in the 80's, I remember Zanov's albums were quite easy to find in flea markets or 2nd hand records shops. In fact, nobody would care about them. As a long time fan of german electronic bands, I never bought any Zanov stuff because the covers looked so cheap I thought it was just some kind of synthesizerploitation, like, you know, all those greatest synthesizer hits you see everywhere. I was wrong, of course. Even if Zanov wasn't as impressive as Klaus Schulze, as melodic as JM Jarre, or as imaginative as Tangerine Dream, the man still as his great moments, his sound. I wonder who he really was, as it seems that very little is known about him, though his albums were released on a major label (Polydor). Thanks. Cheers.

Fantastic producer. I just ordered an original French copy of In Course Of Time on Discogs. Such a deep, warm mysterious sound.

Thanks for the links, without them Zanov would not find new fans!
