FUTURISK-PLAYER PIANO, 7" EP, 1982, USA
A very generous fellow named a Plouck unexpectedly dropped MP3's of this hot shit 100-copy minimal synth mega-rarity in my inbox (many thanks!), so I thought I'd bypass my usual process of unfurling the contents of the vdoandsound 7" archive alphabetically and share this treasure with all of you posthaste. Futurisk were a gritty and punchy little synth pop unit of a vaguely early Ultravox stripe with Ferry-esque vocal affectations leading the way, all tempered by basement (or more accurately bathroom) recording values that give this EP it's particular rough and ready je ne sais quoi. Wonderful stuff!
Note: link removed as it's now been reissued by the folks at Minimal Wave Here

Fantastic, sounds way better than the mp3s I got although Split Second Decision on here jumps at end. Never heard the first single... don't suppose there's any left at Clark Humphrey headquarters? So tricky to get hold of!
the first single is the best one..... a-side is one of the most powerfull synth songs ever!!!
Thanks for this post.
First Single "Army Now" is absolutely awesome. Still looking for it, but no chance. No even as Mp3.
