MANNSCHRECK-OU-WOU-WOU, 12" EP, 1982, GERMANY

Beyond this EP's unexpectedly beefy production values (sorta unusual for a Neue Deutsche Welle release) and the title track's fairly slick (albeit rather fun anyway) mutant funk lie three decidedly more peculiar forays into proactive (if still highly constructivist) art pop strangeness that are rib-stickingly good.
