DUELLO MADRE-S/T, LP, 1973, ITALY

There's a certain sweet ache that I associate with the breed of breezy, wistful Italian jazz rock Duello Madre exemplify; a sort of effortless post-Canterbury languidity that aligns this post-Osage Tribe and Circus 2000 outfit with the Picchio Dal Pozzo of "Camere Zimmer Rooms" and early Perigio and that never fails to put me in a better place.

Believe me or not, this is the best rock / jazz things from Italy in the seventies . It sells low and quite soon disappear from market 'coz too ahead for times , expecially for Italian market , full of "like england " things ( canterbury adn so on ...) . Music is so fresh also today , full of elements near to ciclycalmusic ( bass and times ostinatos ) , minimalism in composing and arranging things , and cool English jazz like Nucleus or something similar . Strong melodic ideas in themes too . Suggest to hear it well and taste the beautiful of this music . Marco ,Bob , Franco and Pippo where really so GREAT in those times !!!!!!
