SHAREONALL'S DEMISE

The recent death of both Xirror and now (very unfortunately) Shareonall at the hands of GEMA (see Here for the depressing details) resulted in six of the links in my recent posts going down (Ron Geesin-As He Stands, Nimal-Voix De Surface, Transit Express-Opus Progressif, Energy-s/t, Keijo-Soon With The Sun & Solid Eye-Electromagnetic Field And Stream Of Consciousness). These have all been re-upped with Sharebee. My heart goes out to all my fellow music bloggers who've been completely crippled by Shareonall's demise. It's hard to even digest how much content in the music blogosphere just disappeared in the blink of an eye. I wonder...does anyone out there know where Shareebee is physically located? It'd be nice to know if they're also subject to German law like Xirror and Shareonall were and stand to get hit by their rotten campaign.

I've been trying out www.rapidspread.com recently and it seems to work well, which is quite exciting considering that it mirrors to 10 different hosts. I'll probably split up my own uploads between Rapidspread and Sharebee for now.

Berrycorp-after the collapse of xirror and shareonall and massmirror's decision to kill all music blog links, I'm not the least inclines to use anything but Sharebee, who've lasted the longest and appear to be the most stable. I don't trust new upstart services.

berrycorp-I appreciate your concern, but since the money earning angle isn't something I'm pursuing (if it were, I could have made a lot putting ads on M.S.), sharebee is gonna remain my service of choice. Just don't see the upside to trying another service. Sharebee remains the oldest service around and that counts for a lot.
