Hello one and all...

Greetings all,

In an act of extraordinary generosity and faith, our dear Mr. Mutant has invited me to contribute to this blog and I am deeply thrilled and honored to take part. Given that our host's musical sensibility and mine are nearly indistinguishable, the aesthetic thrust of this blog will remain almost exactly the same, the only difference being an increase in the scale of this undertaking. For those of you understandably feeling dumbstruck and overwhelmed by what has transpired up to this point, I can only offer my sympathetic apologies in advance, as the proliferation here will ultimately be ramping up to near delirious levels over time. I'd ended my Archaia review (which was reposted on this blog by Mr. Mutant) by saying that "Too much of a good thing is always a good thing". Gluttonous orgiastic excess and the inconceivability of ever coming to grips with vast quantities of information-these are the natural and inevitable upshots of deeply immersing oneself in this musical milieu, so just take a deep breath and resign yourself to the happiest informational whiteout you could even hope for. My first two album postings will follow shortly...

Mutantly yours,

Eric

I...uhh...ummm....hmm

Ramping up!!!??? We-he-he-hell...I see. Okay, let me get this straight. This blog is undergoing, now how did you put it, "an increase in the scale of this undertaking." And, then you noted "..the proliferation here will ultimately be ramping up to near delirious levels over time."

Okay, then, allow me respond by saying, Have you both gone mad!? I mean by all means commence, but I can't hardly keep up with this blog at the moment. To add to the already amazing heights this blog has acheived...unfathomable and inspiring...and WOW!!!!

Yeah, that's about as good as I can summize. Just...WOW!!!!!!

Welcome, Eric! Can't wait to hear what you're willing to share. Thanks, and cheers.

May I suggest using something other than rapidshare? Since discovering this blog just 3 weeks ago, I already have a backlog of MS links, that I just can't download fast enough because of rapidshare's annoying hour-and-a-half wait time between DLs. What about bittorrent? That way, we can all contribute in the sharing.
Anyway, thanks for continuing the work!

Even more posts?

Good lord but I can't keep up as it is. Only thing left for me is to quit my job and d/l from Mutant Sounds full-time.

Keep up the good work, all of you.

Word. I'll look forward to seeing what you contribute. It's been a highlight of my day over the last month or so finding the new postings over here.

For the Mutant guy - you know, I've gotten some pissy comments on my blog, too. The 'net is a home for antisocial twats, as much as for obsessive record collectors, and sometimes these groups intersect. Piss on 'em. Getting mad or responding just lets them win. The only time I ever responded, in a pretty damn gentle way, a third of my links disappeared right afterward. Coincidence?

Anyway, forget about it. You're doing fine.

Hello! Mason from Charnel Music/etc, happy to see more and more contributions here. This is an amazing resource so I'm really happy to see it continue, and Eric, you're a great obvious addition. Keep up the fine work!

Hey Eric,
you are most welcome !

This blog is absolute terrific - and will hopefully stay around.

I would never have the idea to comment on a blog if I don't like it. Why should I ? I would just move on.

So, all you complaining people: JUST MOVE ON TO WHERE YOU LIKE IT !

Many greetings,
http://themoreyouthinkaboutit.blogspot.com/

Thanks a lot for offering to help. This is the best blog on the web, in my opinion.

Mutant Sounds - log into your premium Rapidshare account and take a look at how many times your albums have been downloaded.

If you have 100 complainers for every 1000 downloads, that's still 90% of people who LOVE what you guys are doing.

Please keep up the great work here!

"Gluttonous orgiastic excess and the inconceivability of ever coming to grips with vast quantities of information." Yes! Bring on the gluttonousness, the orgiastic excessiveness, and damn the Tobies. Cakes and ale, and lots of it, is what we chiefly need.

Hey vdoandsound, glad to see you're going to be adding your contributions to this site, I know if must be a daunting challenge, but I hope that your input can make this blog even better than it already is! I'm also glad you intend to follow the "More is more" approach. Yes, quite often seeing everthing on this site can be overwhelming, but I, for one, like being overwhelmed! That's what keeps me coming back to this site, multiple times a day. Keep it up!

And what better place to begin than Picky Picnic! That's quite a challenge you've set for yourself... to outdo what is a most awe inspiring collection of music, with the extra bonus of it being downloadable! Having a lot of these things in my own very esotric collection and having never had the opportunity to hear, let alone alone acquire many of these things myself, I am deeply grateful for the commitment and the effort taken to date! One more way the internet helpls bring the world closer! SpaceBob

Welcome indeed! Looking forward to the continuing flood -- these days I like to say it's less about 'collecting' per se as it is embracing the awesome flow of music from all corners.

This is yet another totally rip-roaring collection we're about to embark upon.. It's about to get really hectic in here, folks!

Komrade in arms & u/l,

p/s Count me in for going on with it:

I probably would never maintain the furious pace of this place, yet will keep up with other obscurities as well.

Hey there Mason! Good to know that you're lurking about here. Thanks to you and to everyone else for your kind and encouraging (albeit slightly nervous) words...I'll do my best to keep you all pleasantly vertiginous...

For those about to leech, we salute you !

Welcome VDOandSound. It is hard to believe how things could get any better around here, but I am looking forward to whatever the future may bring.

And an extremely belated thanks for the list of influences that you had posted on your Web site, what 5 - 6 years ago? I believe I grabbed all of it, and it expanded my musical horizons considerably.

Thanks, and welcome.
