VIDEO LISZT-EKTAKROM KILLER, LP, 1981, FRANCE
The first in a series of Richard Pinhas-related rarities that I'll be posting in the coming days, Video Liszt were a mucho ridiculous and super fun vocoder synth cheese unit that featured an appearance by Messr. Pinhas and were much talked up by him back in the day. Coming in a cover that speaks volumes about the contents therein, this is bordering on the Dr. Who rock territory of the Visitors album I posted a short while back.

Richard Pinhas huh? Sounds like something I need to give a listen to.
Thanks (cause I'd never heard of it before now)!
More like this!
re videoliszt, This is a really cool album, and I've always wondered what the artwork was like, "Pictures of machine men" is a fave track,
thanks!
This one's OK... certainly the track "The Tube" with Pinhas's guitar is by far the highlight, sounding like an outtake from Heldon's "Interface" album.
Not a mindblower, but thanks for giving me the chance to hear it...!
THE BEST Pinhas' album
THANKS A LOT!!!
hi eric, does this come with a printed inner sleeve or not? thanks!
Super late to note, but Jean-Louis Rizet of Pôle & Besombes / Rizet engineered this record.
+1 super late... I think Xol (http://www.discogs.com/Video-Liszt-Ektakr%C3%B6m-Killer/release/166220) is without doubt Bernard Xolotl.
Interesting project.

I got this album when I was 8, 25 years ago. It must still be lying around here somewhere :p Thanks for putting up the mp3's.
Thanks! I just to have this LP when I was ... 15! :-)
Never heard of this before. The whole album is really fun to listen to and has some great tunes. A keeper, thank you very much!
The (terrible) cover reminds me Heldon Stand By. Could be from the same photograph, I don't know. Quite a strange (but nice) record, mixing electropop (Shutter's Shudders / Fade In Hong Kong, my 2 favorite tracks) and progressive music (The Tube). Another obscure french production, released on a major label (Epic Records). Thanks. Cheers !
MUST IN CD!!!! Excellent work with ems vocoder and fantastic electronic percussion
THE ALBUM IS COMPOSED AND PLAYED BY HERVE PICART. (PINHAS IS ONLY THE PRODUCER!)
excellent with ems vocoder and moog equipment
must in cd!
