Loch Ness-Prologue,LP/CD,1988/1991,Brasil

The glorious 70’s were ending and a group of Brazilian musicians formed by Roberto Reese (electric and vocal); Alexandre "Caph" (Grand Piano, Hammond Organ, TX 70, Polysix Synth, vocals); Claudio Cotia Barreto (Bass) e Ailton Sgon (Drums and percussion). decide to form a Prog bands to play in the vein of their idols from Great Britain and Germany so LOCH NESS is born in Volta Redonda – Rio de Janeiro.
In the style of the hardest bands they used three electric guitars, bass, drums, piano, synths and of course a Hammond but already the first peak of Symphonic Prog had ended, so they have to wait more than a decade to release their first and only album “Prologue” (1991).
The lyrics are in English but the accent is simply terrible, if we have something to highlight from this good album is the excellent work done by Alexandre “Caph” with his treasured Hammond and Grand piano.

Reminds me a bit of early 70s Pink Floyd meets Triumvirat.A very essential world prog LP.

Do you know the Alex Harvey album about Loch Ness which was released by K-Tel?

A strange diversion from his Sensational Alex Harvey Band activities.
