A completely staggering and entirely overlooked album by Etron Fou Leloublan's monster of the asymmetrically configured bassline, Ferdinand Richard. There was without question a strong structural carry-over from his Etron Fou days within the musical constructs undertaken here by this briefly assembled unit of his, with variagated angular bass riffs driving R.I.O. arrangements that masterfully contrast the capering post-Magic Band structural hanky-panky of Etron Fou with gorgeous folk-tinged themes that afford these proceedings a whole other sort of gravity than that evoked by his doings within the mother ship.
