GUNJOGACRAYON-S/T, 12" EP, 1980, JAPAN

In both form and function, Gunjogacrayon's wiry scrabbly no-wave-inflected art rock praxis makes them almost a perfect dead ringer for Massacre and anyone who has ever thrilled to the Frith/Laswell/Maher trio's thorny conniptions should find this to be a decidedly welcome addition.

Definitely recommend this one. There are at least two other Gunjogacrayon albums which are also quite worthwhile if you can track them down.

Oh, no... any comparison to Massacre triggers the Pavlovian response...
Speaking of ringers, would you happen to have Hit or Plays For You by FAT? I have the vinyl but IMO it would be a killer share for you. Likewise, Bright Bank Elewhale by George Cartwright and Michael Lytle - but maybe that's a little too improv-y. Fat and Massacre are in my brain as anchors to a big bag of helter skelter skitter, to which Elewhale gives lift and volume (measure, not amplification)...
