SENSATIONS FIX-PORTABLE MADNESS, LP, 1974, ITALY

Deeply enveloping Italian spacerock of a sort specific from the (now) more well known Franco Battiato/ Pierrot Lunaire/ Arturo Stalteri/ Franco Leprino axis, Sensations Fix's thick and heavy cosmic rock vision sounds (especially on this, their second and for me, finest record) considerably more akin to the synth blanketed and darkly churning space trekking atmospheres of east-Euro kosmiche merchants like SBB and Igra Staklenih Perli and shares with them a strange and not-unappealing murkiness. Their first and third albums will follow in the coming days...

LINK REMOVED. THIS BAND LIKES TO REPORT VIOLATIONS TO BLOGGER DIRECTLY INSTEAD OF SIMPLY REQUESTING TO THE BLOG AUTHOR THAT A LINK PLEASE BE REMOVED. DELIGHTFUL, EH?

Great band-do you have Falsini's solo album? I would love to hear that...
As good as Portable Madness is, Fragments of Light is better in my mind, although really different... (music is painting of the air off that record is stunning...)
i recommend picking either of these up on vinyl, not that hard to find. (should spend less than $20)

Is anyone else having problems with Mass Mirror? I have been following this blog since its inception in January and never had trouble using Rapidshare premium or Rapidshare via ShareBee (Eric, I totally understand that due to your browser preference ShareBee is out of the question for now, at least).

With Mass Mirror, I receive the (just introduced) countdown feature, and then the respective links appear. However, Mass Mirror can't seem to connect to Rapidshare directly. Therefore, I've only been able to download Jim's posts for the past 2-3 days.

Thank you Jim and Eric for your hard work, as always. Perhaps Mass Mirror is not such a great portal after all, or do we reach consensus to give them some more time?

In the meantime, I'm going to download and install the Opera browser, and see if the same issue occurs.

Cheers!

Hi,

I came here a while back and you said you were going to post Mauve Sideshow's first LP. Have you done that?

Thank you,
JT

Anonymous-I've got the Falsini, but recall the pressing and/or my copy having a certain amount of noisiness. I'll get it a full cleaning and see if it's in postable condition.

Also...forgot to mention in the post, but both sides of the Sensations Fix are indexed as one cut, as almost all the tracks crossfade into one another with no clear demarcations.

Massmirror and Sharebee are fine and work for me. They give you more choices and they are free for everyone. Stop complaining. If you are upset that you paid for some rapidshare account, please don't take out your upset feeling on blogs that are using file uploading hosts that are free and cool for everyone.

Remember to enjoy the music. If music is the most importnat thing to you, then you will not get upset over what file uploading place the bloggers are using. These are the same people who complain about sound quality of albums, when they are getting the albums for free.

enjoy the music.

Yes, I don't want to compalin but I had trouble downloading this one. Usually Massmirror works fine for me. Maybe I don't have this Opera thing. Oh well. Thanks anyway.

How do you equate asking a question about Mass Mirror "complaining"? That's all I was doing. Mass Mirror worked in Opera and then later I tried it (again) in Firefox and it worked there too. So everything appears to be fine. I was just seeing if others had ever experienced the same problem.
