DIE KAPAZITAT-LEICHTE STIMMEN, LP, 1981, GERMANY

This fantastic pumping and driving Neue Deutsche Welle minimal synth beauty is full of pop smarts, tense/taut arrangements
and overarching strangeness that's both guitar-centric and propelled by crisply percolating drum machines and which shares a certain something with the likes of Christian Lunch. Almost textbook NDW for this style and in Die Kapazitat's case, all the better for it.

Thank you! I have been looking for this on line for the last year, with little success, based on one song I heard on a mix. Great.

THanks - it's great NDW sound. IMO it belongs to the superior releases at that time. "Kaum" sounds similar "Just Can't Get Enough" by Depeche Mode. Synthpop rules!

"Leichte Stimmen" will be re-released on CD early 2008 by a Hamburg based label that has acquired the back catalogue of "Konkurrenz". I'll post details here when I know more.
